As a lifelong traveler, certified diver, and water fanatic, I’ve always felt most at home near the ocean. Whether I’m cliff-jumping in Jamaica or diving reefs in Central America, I’m constantly seeking out adventures that involve water—and I’ve also experienced the challenges that come with keeping your valuables safe during those moments.
Drench™ was born from one of those very challenges. Back in 2021, I was on an excursion at the Blue Hole in Jamaica. We had to jump into a 20-foot cave filled with water—an unforgettable experience, but one that came with a catch: there were no lockers or secure spots to store our belongings. My partner and I decided to keep our cards and cash with us in a basic fanny pack that wasn’t waterproof. After the jump, our money was soaked—we had to pull apart each soggy bill and lay them out to dry.
That moment sparked a realization: there was a gap in the market for stylish, truly waterproof storage that you could wear—not just during water activities, but before and after too. I wanted something durable enough for diving and sleek enough for everyday travel.
Drawing on my diving experience, I took inspiration from the same waterproof zippers used in professional dry suits and integrated them into my design. I worked closely with manufacturers to develop a pouch that didn’t look like rubber or feel overly utilitarian—something functional, fashionable, and versatile.
What started as a COVID-era passion project in 2022 evolved into Drench, a brand committed to creating high-quality waterproof bags that serve multiple purposes and last longer than most on the market. Our products are intentionally designed to reduce waste and promote mindful consumption—ideal for those who value both style and sustainability.
Our commitment to water goes beyond just keeping your gear dry. We’re currently developing a global giveback initiative to support coral reef conservation efforts around the world, partnering with organizations that work tirelessly to protect marine ecosystems. Because protecting the water we love is just as important as enjoying it.
